Immediate Allocation of RM500,000 to Repair the Road of Kampung Batu 3 Mambau

Seremban: The Ministry of Public Works (KKR) approved an immediate allocation of RM500,000 to repair the road in Kampung Batu 3 Mambau near here, which collapsed during heavy rain last Saturday.

Its Deputy Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, said the road repair project will be carried out by the Public Works Department (JKR) and the Negeri Sembilan Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS).

“The Ministry through JPS approved RM500,000 through the Negeri Sembilan Malaysian Road Record Information System (Marris) to repair the eroded and collapsed road in Kampung Batu 3 Mambau.

“The road repair project needs to be completed as soon as possible so that it can make it easier for the people, especially the villagers.

“God willing, within a month this road repair project will be completed,” he said after going to the field to visit the location of the collapsed road, here, this afternoon.

Earlier, he witnessed the Project Handover Ceremony for the Construction of a Replacement Building for 12 Classrooms and Other Facilities at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sendayan, here.

Also present were State Education Exco, Datuk Ismail Lasim, Director of Negeri Sembilan Education Department, Datuk Dr Roslan Hussin and Director of Negeri Sembilan Public Works Department, Wan Hasnan Wan Musa.

In the incident at about 8.15 last Saturday night, the collapse of the road involved resulted in about 300 residents of Kampung Sri Mantau, Mambau facing difficulty in getting back and forth due to the road collapsing due to heavy rain.

The Secretary of the Village Development and Safety Committee (JPKK) of Kampung Batu 3 Mambau, Adam Hussin was reported to have said that the collapse along a length of about 20 meters forced the road to be closed for passage because it was dangerous.
