Flood issue in Ampangan is easing

AMPANGAN: The problem of flash floods in DUN Ampangan is easing as several measures to overcome floods are being carried out.

Member of the Ampangan State Legislative Assembly, YB Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Rafie Abd Malek said, the issue of flash floods haunts most of the residents, especially in Kampung Ismail, Kampung Blok B and C, Taman Lee Siew Joo and Taman Dusun Nyior.

“The problem of flooding in this residential area has subsided when efforts to maintain the river and upgrade the drainage system have begun,” said Mohamad Rafie.

In the meantime, sharing the achievements of five years in the Ampangan State Assembly, Mohamad Rafie said that the People’s Service Center of the Ampangan State Assembly has prepared Gerobok Asnaf where all the poor can receive food aid for free.

“During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have also tried to extend help regardless of religious background, race or party,” he said again.
