Flexible Working Hours Of Negeri Sembilan Public Employees In The Middle Of This Month

SEREMBAN: The state government of Negeri Sembilan today announced the implementation of the Flexi Working Hours (WBF) system involving the state’s public service employees starting January 15.

Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun made the announcement at the 2024 Negeri Sembilan Government Administration Assembly here today.

“The state government hopes that the implementation of this WBF will benefit civil servants in the state, especially helping them deal with issues such as road congestion and managing families.

“It should increase the motivation of all the staff involved to provide more efficient and effective services to the people,” he told reporters after the rally at the Wisma Negeri grounds here.

More than 1,000 state and federal civil servants attended the gathering.

However, he added, the implementation of WBF can be withdrawn if it is misused to the point of disrupting the state government’s administrative system.

In the gathering, Aminuddin invited civil servants in the state to adhere to four main strategies to drive Negeri Sembilan throughout this year.

The first strategy, he explained, is to strengthen efforts to deal with the cost of living of the people by devising various best methods so that the people are not too burdened by the increase in the price of goods and ensure sufficient food supply.

“The second is to increase the state’s economic revenue through good and effective governance which can be seen through the jump in state revenue from approximately RM400 million to more than RM500 million during the five years of this administration.

“The third is to strengthen the public service delivery system with full integrity and greater efficiency including optimizing government resources for the benefit of the people,” he said.

He said, the fourth strategy requires civil servants to be prepared for the upcoming challenges, resilient and able to compete at the global level to provide the best value to the people.
