SEREMBAN: Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, who was appointed yesterday, officially started his duties today.
Earlier, he put his thumb on the time recorder at 9.50 am as a symbol of reporting to his office at Wisma Negeri, here.
He also had time to socialize with the staff of the Menteri Besar’s Office before starting his duties.
Through a post on Facebook, Aminuddin who is also the incumbent also shared the moment of starting his official assignment.
“Starting this morning, my official duties as YAB Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan. I humbly want to thank the people of Negeri Sembilan for their trust,” he said.
Yesterday, the PH-PKR candidate who won the Sikamat State Legislative Assembly (Dun) seat was sworn in as the Negeri Sembilan Mentri Besar in front of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir at Balairung Seri, Istana Besar Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah.
Aminuddin who is also the Chairman of Pakatan Harapan (PH) Negeri Sembilan managed to defend the Sikamat state seat after winning the State Election (PRN) last August 12 with a majority of 2,662 votes.
He defeated Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Ahmad Raihan Muhamad Hilal and two independent candidates namely Bujang Abu and Mohammed Hafiz Baharudin.
Aminuddin was appointed as Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan for a second term after PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) won 31 seats out of a total of 36 state assembly seats to form the state government with a two-thirds majority.
